    rainbow reader

Whenever it rains but the sun is still peeking out from behind the clouds, I look up at the sky searching for a rainbow. Matt likes to make fun of me for this.

    But look!

Not one, not two, but three photos of rainbows popped up in my google reader this morning.

This emboldens me to keep my eyes on the sky from now on.

(perhaps than you’d ever want to know). answers the question why you rarely (if ever?) see a rainbow at noon…’Remember that the center of the rainbow’s circle is opposite the sun so that [at noon] it is as far below the level of the observer as the sun is above it.’ also, you must have the sun at your back to see a rainbow, and two people standing side by side don’t *technically* see the same rainbow. cool stuff!

Kind of a Kurosawa thing going on there.

Three different views of the same rainbow.

I saw a rainbow yesterday and two separate rainbows today. Rainbows make me feel happy.
