I have mentioned before that women are outnumbered at my job. I had a nice moment in front of the watercooler this afternoon. Two of my fellow ladies (ha, fellow ladies) asked me if I’d like some tea. So we stood by the watercooler and picked out our teas and then we talked about cars and car-buying. And then it was over in five minutes.
Afterwards I was smiling because I hardly ever have a moment like that in my office with more than one woman at a time. There’s usually some guy around. Here it was just the three of us, yacking away as ladies do.

1. I am going to Nikon School with Amy next weekend in NYC. It’s a seminar, but I hope to get out with Amy and snap some photos of the city using all of our new knowledge.
2. Prom! season has begun!
3. I’m not sewing much except for a bag I made for my mother-in-law recently. My hands needed a break. I’ll try to post pictures of it soon
4. I should be sewing
5. My life is more organized than it’s ever been. It’s a miracle!
6. A few weeks ago my friends hosted an engagement party for me and Matt. It was the best night ever!
7. This blog might be moving soon, because I don’t want to pay for Typepad anymore. Or maybe it will go away. I have so many blogs already. It’d be nice to just combine them all. Hmm…
8. I’ve been having some issues with collecting rent from one of my tenants. But I should be getting it back this weekend.
9. You know how I’m getting married? Well, sometimes people ask if we have a registry. Here’s the thing: We are in our early 30s and have been able to accumulate a lot of the things that we need. So don’t feel the need to get us anything. If that doesn’t satisfy you, know that we really could use a contribution to help fix up our house. If that still doesn’t satisfy you, we would like to invite our local friends to help us do some planting/fixing up of the yard. We’re not really all that good at that and could use the extra hands.
