    Back

We are back in lovely Western Mass. I had that awful, dreadful feeling in the pit of my stomach on the way back. I didn’t want to return from lovely, brief utopia. I think that P-Town is probably the best place to live in Massachusetts, followed closely by Western Mass, but I’m still working out that theory.

It was a weekend of encounters. I saw my high school best friend’s older brother (he’s in real estate and spends two months a year in France with his French boyfriend) and Jill and her girlfriend Brenda. I hadn’t seen Jill in about three years or more. She’s fabulous. I also saw my college friend Amit who lives in the East Village now. We’re both straight so it was one of those “What are you doing here?” moments.

It was such a great weekend and I didn’t want to leave. Can P-Town jampack any more activity into one goddamn weekend? It was non-stop, from the crossdressers in town to casino night to Cheer NY to seeing bed & breakfast guests with the pre-marriage jitters to the giant yard sales all along Commercial and Bradford Streets the entire weekend, we were never at a loss for something to do.

Oh and the best part! On Saturday we are walking down Commercial Street, way over in the West End and who do I spy walking down the street but Hillary and Annie Goodridge! They both looked so relaxed after a week of insanity that I resisted my urge to walk up and say thanks for fighting the good fight. It was a big, tall urge though, let me tell ya.

    Pictures to follow. Mwah!
