Well, phase two of the ______ College website for the _______ of ________ _________ is done. I wish I could show it to you; alas, you can’t see half of it unless you are on campus, so it doesn’t matter anyway. Yes, my audience will be limited, but it will be loyal.

The fact that I have this thing that I created all by myself is a testament to how it really has been an amazing little year so far. When everything changed for me about 8 months ago and I left the Big Job, I told myself I was going to keep a list of all the things I’ve learned to do since the change. I kept meaning to write that stuff down, but never did. Still, those are the kinds of lists that you keep in your head. You don’t need to write them down because they’re so important you’re thinking about them all the time. Still, I don’t want to forget. I really should make that list.

I don’t want to be one of those people who is perpetually unhappy. And generally I’m not. I just need a little bit more time to feel comfortable, I think. Discomfort is scary, but ultimately therapeutic.
