Perfect example

Here is one solidly perfect example of why blogging can offer something that regular reporting just can’t:

Read the wire story on Bob Edwards’ last day at Morning Edition, particularly the part about Bob talking to Ted Koppel and when Bob says, “I can watch ‘Nightline’!”

Then read Boyle’s account of the same thing.

See! Better! Funnier! You really feel like you were there!

this is not me. this is me.

tonight if you see me I’ll be in my striped mime shirt. Why? because it’s off-the-shoulder and damn if I don’t look smokin’ in it. TIRH emailed me to ask me what he should wear. Shit, man, it don’t matter because everyone’s gonna be looking at me! So if you see me, get out of the way while I rush the stage in all my hotness. I’m all aggressive right now. I think it might be the weather got me all writing in a weird tone, like a baraka poem. I don’t know. yeah… spring fever and all that shit, man.

Seriously, it’s not often that I anticipate a show so much, but Sonic Youth always puts on a good one. Usually, I do the safe thing; set my sights pretty low so I’m not disappointed if the show sucks. But today, I’ve got sonic youth fever!

So back to that shirt….
