Knitters not-so-anonymous

I think me and knitting is just a neat little parable for how I always want to be good at everything right away and then how I screw myself over by hating myself if I’m not.

Failure is feedback.
Failure is feedback.
Failure is feedback.

It took me all weekend to figure out how to knit after Amy taught me last week. I did the perl stitch (I can’t even remember if I’m spelling that right) in a self-taught kind of way, but I can’t wait for Amy’s guidance in perfecting it.

Anyway, tonight is part two. Kelly and Pat are in. Are you in?

Do you feel lucky, punk?

I didn’t know this stuff about people born in the summer being luckier than those born in the winter!? For those keeping score, I was born in June. The article says I shouldn’t develop a gambling problem now that I know I am luckier than other people. [Link via Fancy Robot]

Speaking of, I am collecting birthdays. Leave your name and birthday in the comment section below, ‘m kay?
