I knew Miss Missouri would win!

Last night, TIRH and I watched the Swan and then we watched the Miss USA pageant. I am sure there are important sociological statements to be made by comparing these two shows but I don’t have any right now.

Here’s a funny quote:

Finnessey was asked whether experience or education serves a person better in life.

“Definitely experience because you get your knowledge through experience,” she said. “Each moment that comes by, I think that teaches you more knowledge than anything you could possibly read in a book.”

Brilliant. But, the quote of the evening was from one of the Miss America contestants who talked about a charity she works for that connects stray dogs with stray children.

Stray children, you say!

I don’t know what these women who go on these pageants aspire to be, but I do know that one of last night’s judges was a past Miss Teen USA and Miss USA winner and is now one of Barker’s Beauties on the Price is Right.

And that, my friends, is something worth aspiring for.
